Meshach / Menacing Meshach
Every great band has someone working behind the curtain who makes the whole show possible. For STIFLE, that someone goes by Menacing Meshach — and yes, it's pronounced Me-Shack. Call him whatever nickname feels right. He'll hear you as long as he knows you're talking to him.
Born in California and raised in Minnesota, Meshach now lives the country life out in Clearwater, MN — which honestly suits him perfectly.
He's been part of the STIFLE crew for over 5 years, and in that time he's become absolutely essential to what we do. On any given show night, Meshach might be doing graphics and tech work, running sound or lights, snapping photos, handling merchandise, or — and this is an official job title — being the beer runner. ???? Whatever the band needs, Meshach shows up. No spotlight required.
Musically, he's a man of strong opinions. His favorite band is Rise Against, and his heart lives in 90s and early 2000s punk and metal. But don't be surprised if you catch him absolutely losing it to "One Week" by Barenaked Ladies or "Kryptonite" by 3 Doors Down — certified hype songs in the Meshach universe.
As for karaoke? He'll sing "Tequila" just for the fun of it. Get him in the right mood and you might — might — get a Rob Zombie or a full-throated OOH AHH AHH AHH AHH from Disturbed. No promises.
His aesthetic? Black. Red. Leather. Masks. Anything sharp and dark. He's been told he has a very "edgelord" vibe — and he does not deny this. He's also a self-proclaimed massive nerd, and legend has it almost nobody can out-nerd him. Feel free to challenge him at the merch table. We'll be watching.
He's introverted, reserved, and a little shy — until he isn't. But here's the thing nobody really knows about Menacing Meshach: despite the brooding demeanor and the dark aesthetic… he gives exceptionally good hugs. And it genuinely makes his day when a friend wants one.
Don't let the name fool you. The most menacing thing about Meshach is how much he cares.
