One of STIFLE's newest members just might have more drumming experience than all of us combined. Meet Trevis — and yes, he hits as hard as he looks like he does.
Trevis joined the STIFLE family in 2026, but don't let that fool you — this guy has been behind the kit for 43 years, starting all the way back in 5th grade concert band. Born in California and now calling Becker, MN home, Trevis brings a lifetime of rhythm, feel, and groove to every STIFLE show.
And his gear? It's got history. He still plays his Ludwig Acrolite snare — a legend in the drum world — and the same Yamaha kit he's had since age 13. He's also recently added a vintage re-wrapped Yamaha set to the lineup, and that's the kit you'll be hearing at STIFLE shows. Gear that's been played, loved, and earned.
His drumming influences say everything about his style — the precision and creativity of Stuart Copeland of The Police, and the absolute mastery of the legendary Buddy Rich. Two very different drummers. One very well-rounded musician.
When he's not laying down beats, Trevis is a man of serious hobbies: hunting for Lake Superior agates, collecting Hot Wheels and Matchbox VW cars, woodworking, and a deep love of old Volkswagens.
Oh — and here's something you probably don't know about Trevis: at age 13, he was shot in the head with a BB gun. It's still lodged in the middle of his brain to this day. We're going to go ahead and say that's what gives him his unique perspective on life.
A self-described lover of 70s singer-songwriters and 80s music, his favorite TV shows include classics like Dukes of Hazzard, CHiPs, Grizzly Adams, and Little House on the Prairie — alongside the modern favorite Last Man Standing.
